Asus eee 1015 netbook crashed. Unable to boot. Help!?
Just bought my Asus eee 1015 netbook about a week ago. No real issues until today, I was listening to music and began to close programs, get ready for school, etc... I pressed start and moved the cursor over to shut down to hit the arrow so I could put it in hibernation. I clicked the arrow button and nothing happened so I clicked once more and the loading symbol appeared next to the mouse whenever I hovered over the start menu. I waited patiently until. Balloon popped up explaining the "windows explorer" had crashed and could be shut down or waited out for the program to respond. I was in a rush so I pressed shut down. Next thing I know the taskbar, start menu, blah blah blah all disappeared. This I somewhat expected so I did a hard shut down, when I turn it back on, it doesn't make it past the Asus bios pop up, for a whole two seconds I am able to select f2 and try to run system recovery, but the thing freezes up after that first couple of seconds. I cannot do the quick bios boot or whatever because I do not have a 16+ gig thumb drive (who does?) and no os backup. I can run the expressgate bootup but it does not allow me to access the internet. I know the problem is windows os related, not hardware, it's running windows 7 starter. Somebody please help me get this damn thing to work before I huck it out the window.
