A few questions about Huck Finn?

2. On the river, they don't have to worry about society and their beliefs. The river represents freedom. They get away from their troubles when they return to the river. It sort of acts like a safehaven. On shore, they are judged and not allowed to act as friends since Jim is black and Huck is white.
